Currency racket busted

Two persons, including an employee of a weekly magazine, were arrested for allegedly printing and circulating fake currency notes.

The Cottonpet police also recovered fake notes of Rs 100, 500 and 1000 denomination, colour scanner and a computer. The accused are C A Samuel, a resident of Subramanyanagar and an employee in circulation department of a weekly magazine and Krishna, a resident of GKW Layout in Vijaynagar. The duo would print notes in Samuel’s house as he had the knowledge of printing technology. They would use A4 size paper to prepare fake notes.

On a tip off, the police arrested them when they were trying to circulate the notes in Cottonpet.
