The hill, located at the Kaddirampura on the Hampi-Kamlapur road comprises two massive rocks leaning against each other.

Legend has it that two sisters who came to see Hampi at the height of its glory, sat down for rest on the hill and were turned into stone.

Shelter from sun

The rocks created a shelter from the hot sun of the region and was a tourist attraction because of the legend behind it.

Traffic hit

The collapse of the Akka rock that had developed a fissure some time ago, affected road traffic on the road to Hampi.

Authorities have blocked traffic on the road and have made alternative arrangements for the vehicles, fearing that the other hill too may collapse any time.
