The incident occurred in between Wadi and Krishna railway stations. The three boarded the train at Wadi and relieved the passengers in S-1, S-5, S-8 and S-9 bogies of their wallets.
The theft came to light when the train reached Krishna station. The passengers said the pickpockets decamped with the booty when the train slowed down near Krishna station.
Passengers who lost their money stopped the train by pulling chain near Raichur station. They demanded immediate assistance to continue their journey. Railway police have constituted a team to nab the pickpockets.
