India play their first of the four friendly games on July 25 against Spanish third division side Unio Esportiva Castelldefels.

The 27 players, barring striker Sunil Chhetri, had a 45-minute game among themselves on Friday followed by a 60-minute match on Friday.

Central defender Gouramangi Singh said the team will have a couple of full 90-minute practice games before his side plays its first friendly game.

“We have started practice under match situations. We had a 45-minute game on Friday and a 60-minute game yesterday.

“Bob (Houghton) is planning to have a couple of 90-minute practice matches before the first friendly,” Gouramangi told PTI from Barcelona.

He said striker Sunil Chhetri has started running and expected to join the hard grind soon.

“Sunil has started running and he is expected to join hard training in a few days,” he added.
