Two jumbos drown in Kabini waters

Three elephants are said to have come near the falls on Saturday noon, out of which two are caught in the whirlpool.

The carcasses cannot be retrieved owing to strong water currents. It is said that drowning of jumbos is rare and the recent such incident was reported about eight years ago. District Forest Officer Vinaykumar and RFO Geetha visited the spot.
