'Join hands to tackle floods'

Bopaiah visited Nelyahudikeri, Karadigodu, Gonikoppal, Balele-Nittur areas on Saturday.

He held an official meeting before visiting the flood affected areas and directed the officials to submit a report on the loss.  He directed the chescom officials to restore power supply in all those areas which have been affected with rains. The forest department should co-ordinate with the Chescom in cutting the branches of the trees.

He directed the officials to give permission to chop branches of the trees which come in the way of power supply.

Bopaiah also directed officials to provide facilities in the gruel centres.

He directed TMC Commissioner to remove the silts in drains with the help of daily wage labourers. DC Ashwathanarayana Gowda, Akrampasha, ZP CEO Mirja Akbarulla, SP Shivaprasad, Agriculture department Joint Director K R Krishnaiah and others were present.
