<p>About 23 colleges participated in the fest, which was inaugurated by Rev Jeevan Babu, Vice-Chairman, Board of Management, Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College and <br />Principal, Dr Joyce Sunder. <br /><br />Kannada actress and model Parvathi Nair declared the fest open. The theme of the fest was Resham and the celebrity guest for the fashion show was Priyamani of Raavan and <br />Rakta Charithra fame.<br /><br /> Cottons believes in organising value-based literary and cultural programmes and this year too, the college promoted Ahimsa Silk — silk made out of yarn produced without destroying the silk worms. The institution, through this fest, sent a message to the weavers and wearers of silk — ‘Wear and weave only Ahimsa Silk which does not kill the silk worm’. <br /><br />Therefore Resham, the incredible beauty of silk, was showcased through the tremendous talent of students from different colleges coming together on one platform. </p>
