About 23 colleges participated in the fest, which was inaugurated by Rev Jeevan Babu, Vice-Chairman, Board of Management, Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College and
Principal, Dr Joyce Sunder.

Kannada actress and model Parvathi Nair declared the fest open. The theme of the fest was Resham and the celebrity guest for the fashion show was Priyamani of Raavan and
Rakta Charithra fame.

Cottons believes in organising value-based literary and cultural programmes and this year too, the college promoted Ahimsa Silk — silk made out of yarn produced without destroying the silk worms. The institution, through this fest, sent a message to the weavers and wearers of silk — ‘Wear and weave only Ahimsa Silk which does not kill the silk worm’.

Therefore Resham, the incredible beauty of silk, was showcased through the tremendous talent of students from different colleges coming together on one platform.
