Rains recede in DK, Udupi

The house of one Shivappa Gurikara in Swamilapadavu was partially damaged. The estimated loss is Rs one lakh. In the last 24 hours, Bantwal received 39.2 mm rainfall followed by Mangalore 37.8 mm, Puttur 16.4 mm, Belthangady 15 mm and Sullia received 5.4 mm rainfall.

Udupi

Rains receded in Udupi district too. However, it remained cloudy throughout the day. In the last 24 hours, the district received an average of 33.80 mm rainfall. This includes Karkala—46.20 mm, Kundapura—28.80 and Udupi—26.40 mm.  

A tree fell on the house at Nada, incurring a loss of Rs 8,000. In another incident, the house of one Krishna Pana was damaged when a tree fell on it at Shiriya.
