Canara Eng college to host 'Emergia 11'

Addressing a press meet here on Monday, IEEE student branch counsellor Prof T N Shanubhogue said technical paper presentation will be on the ‘top technologies of the decade’ in all the engineering discipline of interest of IEEE. Emergia 11 will be inaugurated by NMAMIT Vice Principal Dr Niranjan Chiplunkar. Canara High School Correspondent Vaman Kamath will preside.

The ‘Emergia 11’ will include ‘Chindoghu’—finding innovative but weird solutions to the practical problems. The more weird the solution, the better; ‘The Apprentice’ (Biztech)—competition based on management skills which includes business related written test and stress interview; ‘D-Bug’ (codewares)—Its a competition on C programming computer language and to test the programming skills of the students; ‘Junk yard’—It aims at creating something innovative from the junk; ‘Treasure hunt’—Hunting the treasure through decoding and solving technical problems; ‘Test ur GK’ (Quizzotica)—competition to test the updation of the students about the current scenarios in the world; poster presentation and JAM—the participants have to speak for one minute on the given topic without interruptions, stammer or pause.
