The rally, which began from the college premises, culminated at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The agitators said they had chipped in to support the students of the college after noticing their struggle for a cause and also negligence of the district administration in addressing the problem.
They wanted the Deputy Commissioner to intervene, fix the boundary and build compound to check encroachment in the future.
The protests were being held in a peaceful way and if the authorities concerned try to snub the issue, it would become inevitable to intensify the protest, they warned. They also submitted a memorandum to the district administration.
College Students Association President U R Arpitha, Vice-President H G Rekha, Secretary K M
Jyothi and others participated.
