In absolute terms, fiscal deficit stood at Rs 2.75 lakh crore in the April-February period of the current fiscal, against Rs 3.80 lakh crore in the same period last financial year (2009-10).
In April-February period, the net tax receipts of the government stood at Rs 4.60 lakh crore and total expenditure at Rs 9.78 lakh crore.
The non-tax revenue in April-February period stood at Rs 2.09 lakh crore, primarily on account of higher realisation from the auction of spectrum.
