A good paratha and chaat place, that offers both variety and authenticity, are just a handful in the City.

‘Kedia’s Fun Food’, a small eatery in Jayanagar, is one such place that is thronged by students and families alike for a host of ‘out of this world’ delicacies.

The place offers chaats, parathas, chuskis, fruit juices and mocktails for affordable prices and is the perfect pit stop for some finger-licking action.

In the large variety of parathas they offer, the cheese parathas, which instantly melt in the mouth are one of its kind and leaves one craving for more.

The parathas savoured with fresh curd, pickle and channa masala are at their authentic best and make for an excellent  wholesome meal.

The onion parathas too are a must have for paratha lovers.

The subtle taste of onions goes well with the spicy channa masala creating a unique flavour which is impossible to resist.

Another delicacy that people vouch by in this place is the tikki chat.

The surge of spices that make up this delicacy are a lip-smacking adventure and is strongly recommended. Kedia’s also offers one of the most sought after cutting chai which is at its refreshing best.

For people looking at beating the summer heat, there is  chuskis.

Available in four flavours, kala khatta, ‘orange’, ‘rose’ and khus, they are a nice way of cooling the spicy feel after a round of samosa chaat.

Sangita Kedia and Subhash Kedia, the owners of the place, recommend a couple of in-house delicacies.

“During the night, people come here mainly for the parathas. However, there is a lot of demand for rasgulla chat and kachori chat too.” The place, which is eight-years-old has stood the test of time and is thronged by a steady number of regulars who in spite of living far away drop by at Kedia’s to relive the good old times.

Sneha Prasad and Aniruddha H G say that they have been coming to this food haven since they were in college.

“This place is really good. The service is quick and food is really tasty. We would strongly recommend the vegetable cutlet here, we can assure you it is nothing like a conventional cutlet.

We are regulars here and come close to four times in a week. If not anything we at least drop by for chai,” they say.
