JOIN USHostel inmates stage snap stir
The hostel is situated at Jayanagar extension in the city and being managed by Department of Backward Classes and Minorities.
More than 150 students were staying in this hostel. The students were facing hardship due to lack of basic amenities and this was preventing them from concentrating on studies.
The aggrieved students told media persons that the food served to them was of poor quality.
The bathrooms were in bad condition. Adding to it, the hostel was facing severe shortage of drinking water. The number of toilets was not according to the strength of the students. They demanded the authorities concerned to immediately look into their problems or shift the hostel to any other convenient place.The authorities who arrived at the spot, assured to address their problems at the earliest. The students have warned of launching agitation if the department concerned failed to solve their problems at the earliest.
