Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Tuesday, State BJP Spokesperson C T Ravi said the forthcoming bypolls to five Assembly constituencies, elections to BBMP, party organisation and overall political situation in the State would be discussed at the two-day executive meeting.

He said, the party’s membership drive would be launched in all the district headquarters on August 7. The party has set a target of enrolling 25 lakh members during the next two months.

Yelahanka MLA S R Vishwanth,  alleged that the land grant committee headed by the then legislator G Chandranna had allotted 766 acre of land in four hoblis of Devanahalli to his family members and also party workers in the name of regularisation of bagair hukum land. He urged the government to cancel the allotments and order a probe.
