BBMP clears encroachment

It also conducted a similar action at Yelahanka where the illegal constructions on public places like roads, footpath and gardens were razed.

The anti-encroachment drive was conducted since last Thursday from Hosur Road to St Francis Church where the illegal constructions on footpath and storm water drains were cleared.

The BBMP has said that  a similar drive will be launched across the city for the convenience of pedestrians and commuters. It has also warned that if the encroachers will not demolish the illegal constructions on their own, the BBMP will not only raze them all but also impose hefty penalties on them.
