Ambedkar awards

The awards are conferred on those who have played a significant role in dalit movement and creating awareness among the dalits. The other recipients are Tatya Rao Kamble from Bidar, Madhav Rao from Bellary, Ramesh Yamunappa Assange from Indi (Bijapur), M Krishnaiah from Mysore, M Jayanna from Chitradurga, M Shankarappa from Anekal (Bangalore), Annaiah from Hoskote (Bangalore Rural district), Phataphat Nagaraj, president, Karnataka Chapter, Praja Vimochana Chaluvali.

 The awards will be presented on Thursday at banquet hall in Vidhana Soudha. The awards will carry a prize of Rs 25,000 each along with a memento.
