That’s what ‘Bon Vivanta’, a fashion show that was held in the City over the weekend, did.

A unique show by the Archidply Business Industries to promote a new product called ‘Veneer’, the event was the perfect example of mixing business with pleasure.

As the name suggests, ‘Veneer’ consisted of thin pieces of wood in a variety of colours.  The fashion show was attended by people from the industry like architects and dealers.

Starting with a formal product launch, the event slowly moved on to the fashion show organised by style guru Prasad Bidapa.

And ‘Veneer’, being one of the most expensive products launched by the company, the fashion show had to live up to the expectations of all the guests and looking at the enthusiastic crowd, it probably did so!

Dressed in sleek evening wear, like little black dresses and evening gowns, the female models strutted down the ramp carrying a ‘Veneer’ each.  The male models decided to showcase their well-toned bodies by walking down shirtless.

The fashion show was tastefully done with the attention of the guests being more on the product than the clothes worn by the models. Said Rajneesh, the vice president and company secretary of Archidply, “The idea of the show was to make everyone see the product. We wanted people to realise the uniqueness of this premiere product.”

Elaborating a bit more on Veneer, he said, “It’s a luxury product used in the interior of hotels and corporate cabins. It was a great platform for the architects to meet one another as architects and dealers from all over the country were called for the show.

Even the colours of each of the product was rare and the models carrying them did a great job.”
