In his talk, Karnataka University Kannada Study Centre Director Prof Durgadas urged for the need for the establishment of a society with equality. The fight in the future should not be based on ‘caste’ issue, but it should be an ideological fight, he insisted.

“Education is a weapon to overthrow all the problems. There is no point in limiting the leaders to a caste. Ambedkar must be a role model, for he fought against inequality after pursuing higher education,” he said.

Presiding over the function, MLA C T Ravi said a clean society can be formed when untouchability is ousted from each house.
