For a good dose of tasty snacks

The simple and healthy food served here sets this eatery apart. Started by Bhagyamma, the eating joint has been serving a variety of chaats and juices for 14 years. It has two separate counters, one meant for juice and the other for chaat items. 

The chaats comprise masala puri, pani puri, bhel puri, sev puri, aloo bhel puri and dahi puri. Among all, masala puri is the most sought-after item for its tangy flavour. “I don’t know what sets our eatery apart. But there is one thing that I am proud of and that is there is no dearth of customers here. Our clients have various reasons to visit our shop be it for the unique taste of the food or the quick service we provide,” says Nataraj, who has been looking after the shop since its inception.

Agrees Mayanna, a BBMP employee who has relished the food many a time here, “Whenever we come to Bank Colony or Shrinivas Nagar for shopping, we find this place ideal for chaat items because of the reasonable price and cleanliness,” he says. “The masala puri and bhel puri available here live up to my expectations. Unlike the masala puri available in other chaat centres, it’s not too spicy. I keep bringing my friends to this place too,” says Arjun, a degree student.

When it comes to juices, all types of fruit juice are available here. “As it is the season of mangoes, there is a great demand for mango juice. Other than this, the watermelon juice is a favourite of many. Irrespective of the season, musambi juice is an all time favourite,” says Nataraj. Juices of pineapple, grapes, orange, sapota, apple and other fruits are also available here. And the fruits used for the juices are fresh with new stock coming in everyday.

The eatery is abuzz with customers during weekends and evening hours. “As our shop is situated in a residential area, it’s popular with families. Apart from them, college-goers also gather here during evenings,” says Nataraj.
