CWG gold winner Ravi bags 3 bronze in Asian Weightlifting

Ravi Kumar lifted 139kg in snatch and 167kg in clean and jerk to fetch two bronze medals. His total lift of 306kg gave him another bronze.

Chandreshori Devi, however, finished eighth in women's 58kg category with an effort of 178kg (80+98).

With the three bronze from Ravi Kumar today, India's medal tally has risen to eight. On the opening day yesterday, India had won five bronze medals.

48kg lifter Kh Sanjita Chanu had won a bronze each in clean and jerk (90kg) and total lift (158kg). In 53kg category, Matsa Santoshi had bagged a bronze each in snatch (70kg), clean and jerk (88kg) and total lift (158kg).
