My last fight is to bring JD(S) to power, says Gowda

Speaking at the Dr Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations in the party office on Thursday, he said: “I have begun my last fight to bring the party to power. I will be cautious while making my moves. I have both energy and determination to bring the Party to power.”

The Congress had continuously tried to stop Ambedkar from entering parliament and had tried its best to defeat him in all elections. It behaved irresponsibly in honouring him and it was during the regime of V P Singh as the prime minister that the government presented Bharat Ratna posthumously to Ambedkar, he pointed out.
