Christina Aguilera divorces Bratman

The 'Burlesque' star's marriage finally ended yesterday after the required six-month waiting period from the date of filing the divorce, reported Contactmusic.

The 30-year-old singer, who announced her separation from Bratman last October, had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce. The former couple has agreed to share the custody of their three-year-old son Max, apart from dividing their assets according to the pre-nuptial agreement.

The former couple has agreed to share the custody of their three-year-old son Max, apart from dividing their assets according to the pre-nuptial agreement.

The 'Nobody Wants To Be Lonely' hitmaker credits her current flame Matt Rutler, 25, for helping her to overcome the grief in her life.

"I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I'm getting through it ... In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks. I've gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish. It's a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge," Aguilera had said.

The 'Dirty' hitmaker, who was arrested for public intoxication along with Rutler in March, met him when he worked as an assistant on her film 'Burlesque'. PTI MBYlping her to overcome the grief in her life.
