Chief Minister B S Yeddyurppa would also meet same fate of Gundurao if he continues to neglect Hassan in implementing development works, warned H D Revanna, JD( S) leader here.  Addressing a press conference in Hassan on Friday, he said the party had planned to protest against the State Government for its failure to implement development works in the district, from Monday. However, it was postponed because of the elections to APMC.

A meeting of party legislators and other elected representatives would be held on April 18 to discuss the future course of action. A list of demands, problems of the district will be prepared and sent the same to Government through Deputy Commissioner. The date and timings of the protest will be announced soon.

Alleging the State government for adopting ‘step-motherly’ attitude towards the district, Revanna said government had not released money to construct engineering and medical colleges. The patients of District General Hospital were struggling due to poor facilities. The doctors of the district Hospital were referring patients to neighbouring District Hospitals and private nursing homes due to poor facilities here, he added.

The JD(S) leader said when his government was in power, it had distributed 2000 sites in S M Krishna Nagar to autorickshaw drivers and other backward classes. The incumbent government had not distributed any sites in the last three and a half years. Besides, the district in-charge minister never discussed with elected representatives before implementing development works.
