Mohammad Ghouse (22), Mohammad Rasool (20) and Mohammad Jalal (20)- all from Kajagarwadi, Yadgir- were employed in a hotel. A few children, who witnessed them drowning, rushed to summon help. The youths were dead by the time help arrived.
Relatives and residents blocked traffic as police failed to arrive at the spot even after three hours of the mishap. A case has been registered at the Yadgir rural police station.
