The BJP High Command has supported all the misdeeds of the state government. The state government which has failed to construct houses for the poor has become bankrupt, he alleged.

MP H Vishwanath said “owing to lack of publicity, the achievement of the Congress could not be made known to the people. The state government is claiming the credit for the Central government sponsored programmes. The Union government has been providing free education to every girl child from first standard to PUC. Mid-day meals have benefited 60 lakh kids in the country.”

District Women Congress President Kumuda Dharmappa received the party flag from the outgoing president Deerghakeshi Shivanna.

KPCC Women’s wing President R Manjula Naidu said “only Congress can work towards the progress of women. The UPA government has asked its ministers to resign when there were allegations against them. The state government is filled with corruption. The state’s treasury is empty. No aged beneficiaries have received monthly honorarium for the last four months,” she alleged.

Speaking after taking the charge, Kumuda Dharmappa said that she aims at
strengthening the party.
