JOIN USThe platform is ready for showcasing the rural cultural programmes for the next two days. Eight committees have been formed including welcoming committee, food, stay, stage, security, procession and publicity committee for the smooth functioning of the youth fair.
The staying arrangement for as many as 800 participants from eight districts has been made at DIET, sports school and agriculture school.
Deputy Commossiner K H Ashwathnarayan Gowda, Sub division Officer Dr M R Ravi and other officers are making final arrangements for the fair.
Separate competitions for both men and women under various folk forms will be held. The teams which have won first prize in the district-level Geegi Pada, Bhavageethe, Kolata, Kunitha, Lavani, Rangageethe, Veeragase, folk dance, Sobane Pada, Doddata, Sannata, Yakshagana and other contests will take part in the fair.
The winning teams in this fair will contest in the State-level youth fair.
