The stretch from Cauvery Bhavan to the BBMP headquarters in Hudson Circle and JC Road is particularly in need of this, said Union General Secretary John D’Souza.
The Union also wanted BMTC to implement Bus Rapid Transit Systems. Dr K N Ingalagi, BMTC's chief manager of Management Information System, said the transport corporation had given Rs 45 lakh to BDA to carry out a survey in the City. On the BDA's behalf, two organisations - IDEC and RITES had conducted the survey, he added.
