JOIN USA national-level Invitation flood-lit Beach Volleyball Tournament for men will be organised by the Dakshina Kannada District Beach Volleyball Academy and Mangala Friends Circle at Panambur Beach on May 23 and 24, said State Beach Council convenor B K Rao.
Briefing mediapersons here on Friday, Rao said that around 20 teams comprising players of international repute will participate in the tournament. Eminent teams including State Bank of India, Indian Customs, Tamilnadu Police, Goa Police, Cochin Refinery and several state teams will compete in the tournament, he added.
Winning team will be awarded with cash prize Rs 15,000 and permanent trophy while runners up will be awarded with cash prize Rs 10,000 and trophy, Rao said. Individual prizes for Best Smasher, Best Defencer and Best Allrounder will also be distributed, he added.
