The body of 16-year-old Manikanta, was extricated from Nayandahalli tank which was full of slush and weeds after search carried out by a seven-member divers' team, Chief Fire Officer E U Erappa said.
Manikanta fell into the tank while playing near it,today. It was his 12 year-old friend who alerted nearby people who in turn informed police.
Senior officials of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (city corporation) monitored the rescue operations.
