Lokayukta ADGP Rupak Kumar Dutta transferred

Karnataka Lokayukta Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Rupak Kumar Dutta has been transferred as the ADGP (Law and Order). Dutta succeeds A R Infant, who has been promoted to Director General of Police (DGP) grade and posted to the Training wing.

Dutta’s transfer has come a day after the Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed by two advocates who had challenged the stay granted by the Karnataka High Court on complaints filed by them against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his family under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Besides, Director General of Police (DGP), Training, Infant has been posted as DGP and Chairman and Managing Director of Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation. He will also continue on concurrent charge as DG and IGP (Head of Police Force), Karnataka.

Transport and Road Safety Commissioner Bhaskar Rao has been transferred as IGP, anti-terriorist cell. KSR Charan Reddy, who was IGP, eastern range, Davangere, has been transferred as IGP, internal security, Bangalore. ADGP Harshavardhan Raju, who was waiting for posting, has been posted as ADGP (Recruitment and Training).

When contacted Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde said the State Government has taken permission from him to transfer Dutta.

IAS transfers

The government has also transferred three IAS officers. V Umesh, who was PWD Principal Secretary, has been transferred as Principal Secretary, Co-operation department. Subash Chandra Khuntia, who has returned from central deputation, is the new Principal Secretary to PWD.

Amita Prasad, who was Principal Secretary to Co-operation department, has been transferred as Principal Secretary to DPAR (Administrative Reforms, Training and Political Pensions). She will also hold additional charge of the post of Director General of Administrative Training Institute, Mysore. T Sham Bhatt, who was CEO of KIADB, has been transferred as the Commissioner for Transport and Road Safety. He will also hold the additional charge of the post of  the CEO of KIADB.
