KHB scam: MP stresses on ordinance

He was addressing the mediapersons at Patrakarthara Bhavana in the City. Vishwanath said Chief Minister to do so if he was really concerned about the poor. He alleged that, Yeddyurappa had failed to keep up his own words. He had issued a statement on March 2 saying: “Henceforth the government will not purchase lands for the housing board. Contrary to this, lands have been purchased in Mysore district on July 13”, Vishwanath added.  The irony is, though 500 acres of land was available at Kenchalagud, just seven km away from the City, the government opted to buy land in Yelwal hobli 30 km away, he added. He also sought an inquiry into the scam.

Former Hunsur MLA Kodi V Papanna asserted that he was ready for a debate with KHB chairman G T Devegowda in this regard.
