The police have recovered silver articles worth Rs four lakh from the arrested, who are the native of Hindupur.
At a press meet here on Saturday, District Superintendent of Police T D Pawar said four persons had gained entry into the jewellery shop on April 21 and had decamped with silver articles.
The police had spread a massive man hunt to nab the accused.
The police picked up the duo from Chintamani when they were found moving suspiciously.
They ‘confessed’ to the crime during interrogation, he added.
Various crime cases have been booked against Ilyas and Babajan in Hindurpur.
The other two accused Rafik and Mehaboob Pasha will soon be arrested, he added.
He lauded the police team who were successful in nabbing the accused and announced cash prize for the team.
