In the backdrop of the verdict of the Supreme Court on nullifying the disqualification of 16 MLAs, Speaker and Chief Minister should tender resignation.
“Yeddyurappa had made use of Bopaiah to retain his power,” he said.
The Congress will carry out a procession in the main streets of the city and will stage a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office. A memorandum will be submitted to the President recommending the dismissal of the state government, through Deputy
Commissioner, he added.
Pradeep said “no development works have been undertaken in the state. The state government is filled with corruption and scams, which has been proved from the Governor’s recommendation for the dismissal of the state government.”
Former Minister M M Nanaiah said “there was constitutional crisis in the state since October owing to Bopaiah’s action.”
“Values are missing in the BJP administration in the state. During A B Vajpayee’s tenure, there was shortage of one vote to prove the majority in the floor test. However, he never stooped to the level of purchasing even one MP. After losing the floor test, he had tendered resignation and came back to power with thumping majority in the election. Such values are missing in the BJP today,” he lamented.
