Taking pride in their success

High Scorers

The hard work has reaped benefits for some of the students and they have not stopped celebrating.

Some of the students, who have done extremely well in the exams, shared with
Metrolife their joy, hopes and secret mantra for success.

Suprith S B had expected a score between 94 and 95 per cent. So he was pleasantly surprised to get a bit more than what he expected.

“I am very happy about the results and my parents are extremely proud of me,” he says. Is he expecting a gift? “They may give me a mobile phone,” he says.

Suprith says that he used to study for about four hours everyday. “During the preparatory leave, I studied for seven to eight hours,” he adds. But it is not all studies for him.

“I like playing cricket and am also into gaming,” he says.

Suprith wants to take  up science in the future  and plans to prepare for IITJEE.

Syeda Maisarah
96.42%
Baldwin Girls’ High School

Syeda is a very happy girl. Having scored 96.42 per cent in the ICSE exams, she surely has the reason to. “I am very grateful to everyone especially my parents and teachers who helped me during this time,” she says. Her parents are overjoyed after hearing the news. Syeda says a regular study schedule is what helped her excel in these exams. “I studied everyday for two hours during the entire year,” she says.

Making optimum use of the preparatory leave was also important. “The preparatory leave was a little hectic because I was also the school prefect,” she says. Syeda says that she is interested in playing basketball and throw ball. “I hope to study PCMB in Christ Junior College and pursue medicine in the future,” she adds.

Sruthi Sankar

New Horizon Public School
Extremely happy with the results, Shruthi Sankar is celebrating in Chennai. “I am very happy. I expected this score but the great part was scoring 100 in Maths. Getting cent percent is a great feeling,” she adds. Giving credit to her parents and teachers, she says,

“These results are because of the efforts my teachers have put in. But of course, hard work from my side has also paid off,” she adds. Sruthi says that finishing her work without postponing it was the key to her success. “I used to study everyday whatever was taught,” she says. The hard working student has singing and badminton as her hobbies. “I plan to take up PCMB after this. But I have not thought about which college I want to get into,” she says.

Sahan H V
95.6%
Vidya Niketan School, Hebbal
Sahan H V is overjoyed with the results of the ICSE exams. “I was expecting above 90 per cent but not so much. I feel very good and am proud of my achievement,” he says. His parents are quite excited about the results too. “My parents are happy. They never really put any pressure on me before the results,” he says. So is he expecting a present? “Usually, I don’t get anything when I score well but I don’t know what will happen in this case,” he says.
He says he studied three times a day, for a total of seven hours a day.
 “I used to go and play football in the evening,” he says. Sahan plans to take up science in the same school.
