Mukul Roy to be New MoS of Railways

According to sources, he will hold the additional charge of Railways. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will retain the portfolio as the cabinet minister.

Roy’s name has been taking rounds for the post since the elections were announced. With Mamata winning the elections, it became certain that he will get the responsibility because the Trinmool Congress wanted to retain the portfolio.

Currently, Railway ministry has two MoS, K H Muniyappa and Bharat Singh Solanki. Both belong to the Congress.
