Staging a road blockade at the Shidlaghatta Circle, the protesters raised slogans against the “rampant corruption” in the BJP government.
General Secretary of the district unit, M Prakash, said: “The Governor recommended for the President’s Rule given the allegations of corruption and nepotism by BJP leaders. The chief minister is still unmoved by this and insists on staying in power.”
Congress leaders Yaluvahalli Ramesh, Narayanaswamy, Addagal Sridhar and others were present at the protest.
