<p>Kollegal, Yalandur, Gundlupet and Chamarajanagar taluks experienced torrential downpour accompanied by lightning and thunder. <br /><br />It began around 8 pm on Tuesday night and continued to pour till 11 pm. The rain that continued again on Wednesday morning threw normal life out of gear. <br /><br />Majority of the roads were seen stagnated with rain water, but there was no damages reported so far. <br /><br />There were incidences of falling of tree branch on an autorickshaw at Basaveshwara nagar.<br /><br />Power cut<br /><br />Electric poles are uprooted at some parts of the city due to which several areas plunged into darkness for a few hours.<br /><br />Chamarajanagar taluk recorded 60.8 mm of rainfall, Chamarajanagar 45.7 mm, Kollegal 26.2 mm, Gundlupet 21.7mm and Yalandur 69.7 mm.</p>
