<p>The 25-year-old youth from Kerala had joined duty in the afternoon shift yesterday at Apollo Hospital in Delhi where he was working for the past five years.<br /><br />"He would have gone home after the shift but at the last minute was asked to go to Patna to fetch a patient. The journey turned out be his last," a friend of Joy said.<br /><br />The aircraft which was ferrying a critically ill patient Rahul Raj, a 20-year-old Patna-based businessman, to Apollo Hospital, crashed into a house here at 10.35 pm. All seven aboard, including Cyril, as well as three women on the ground perished in the mishap.<br /><br />Cyril, who hails from Vazhachuklam village in Ernakulam district, is the son of Joy P Kuriakose and Reethamma -- who is also a panchayat member.<br /><br />Only recently, he got selected for a male nurse's job in Kuwait and was waiting for a visa.<br />Meanwhile, the Apollo Hospital, which arranged the aeroplane from Delhi-based Air Chartered Services India Limited, said the crash is "most unfortunate and tragic".<br />"The entire Apollo family is devastated and is in shock along with the families of the deceased," it said in a statement.</p>
