Sweet juices

One of the most popular branches of the eatery is located on St Mark’s Road. Just a stone’s throw away from M G Road, with a number of schools, colleges and offices nearby, it is not a wonder to see why this store is always thronged with people.

Opened by Shodhan Bhandary around eight years ago, the joint offers tasty and healthy food at a reasonable price. In their signature orange and green uniforms, the cooks quickly dish out fruit juices, milk-based juices and sandwiches without making the customers wait for long. “We offer sandwiches, juices and fruit bowl at nominal rates,” says Jayanand, the manager, on being asked about the USP of the store. According to him, the most popular item is the Veg Grill Cheese Sandwich.

Apart from the usual juices and milkshakes, one can also go for the refreshing fruit bowl, which costs a mere Rs 25 and is full of delicious fruits like banana, papaya, watermelon and dates. Speaking of the Juice Junction Special, Jayanand says, “Combinations of juices like carrot, beetroot, mint and lime are not that common.” Fruit Grill, Spinach N Corn, Chilli Mushroom Masala Grill, Palak Paneer Grill are some of the sandwiches that one can savour. For those who like plain sandwiches, there are Veg Plain, Bread Butter Jam, Cheese Plain and Fruit Plain Sandwich.

An added attraction to the store is the Pani Puri cart outside. A spicy plate of Pani Puri and a glass of cold juice or milk shake forms the perfect snack. Ram Vali Gupta, the pani puri walla, hails from Uttar Pradesh and also owns the cart outside the Juice Junction in Koramangala. Wearing plastic gloves and segregating all the ingredients neatly, Ram ensures that the pani puris are hygienic. “A reason why the customers like the pani puris here is because they are clean,” he says.  For John Worth, the operations head at Eurokids, a trip to Juice Junction means a plate of Pani Puri followed by a glass of Grape Juice.  “The Grape Juice is my favourite item here as it has a lot of pulp. I also like the fruit bowl. All the items here are very economical,” he notes.
