Focus on family members: KSAPS deputy director

He was addressing a gathering at a two-day capacity- building workshop organised at ETCM Hospital in the city on Friday.

The programme has been jointly organised by KSAPS and district AIDS prevention unit.

He further appreciated the role of members in counselling and supplying medicines to victims. “If they come together in a single network, the purpose of the society will be realised,” he added.

He called upon the members to focus on the family members of victims. The family members too need counselling and must be instilled confidence among them.

District AIDS Prevention officer Dr Jagadish delivered a lecture on the activities of the unit.
Over 30 workers from Society For People’s Action for Development, Navajeevana Community Care, Samagra Community Care Centre, Institute For Youth and Development, Multi-purpose Social Service Society, Integrated Positive Prevention Care Centre are participating the workshop that will conclude on Saturday.
