MPCC wants high level probe into burglary at Bhuria's house

Last Updated 29 May 2011, 14:49 IST

"The state government should take this matter very seriously and order a high level probe into it," MP Congress Committee spokesperson K K Mishra stated in a release.

"The incident needs to be probed in various aspects, to check whether there was a conspiracy behind it," he said.

"Had Bhuria not put off his visit to Indore at the eleventh hour due to political engagements, some unpleasant thing might have happened to him," the MPCC spokesperson said.

Pointing out that poor security was being provided to the state Congress chief, Mishra said that only one jawan of state homeguard services was posted at the entire official residence of Bhuria.

Bhuria's house was burgled in the wee hours of today in Indore. Two LCD TVs, cash and other domestic gadgets have been stolen, however, the estimate of the loss is yet to be worked out, police said.
