Cherishing some proud moments

Under-graduates, post-graduates and M Phil students of the Deanery of Science, Humanities and Social Science; Deanery of Commerce and Management and School of Law were seen clad in their coats and caps walking into their auditorium with confidence. They enjoyed every minute of their last day on campus by capturing precious memories on their cameras as their parents looked on with pride.

The first half of the day saw the convocation for the UG, PG and M Phil students of the Deanery of Sciences and Humanities and Social Science. The chief guest for the occasion was R N Ranganatha, Registrar of Bangalore University and the ceremony was presided over by Fr Thomas Aykara, the Chancellor of Christ University.

And the second half of the day witnessed the convocation of Deanery of Commerce and Management for which the chief guest was Gandhi Mallikarjuna Rao, chairman of GMR Group.

Both ceremonies brought in moments of pride especially when the degrees were conferred to the graduates. And the convocation address by the chief guests drew loud cheers from the crowd. Deepthi Ramesh, a graduating student said, “Being a Christite is one among the privileges that very few people get.

I was a representative in many inter-collegiate events for Christ University and have witnessed the extraordinary talent and zest in the students. We are proud to graduating from Christ University.” Many agreed with Deepthi and how the University has helped them get one step closer to their dreams.

The ceremony ended on a promising note for the young and vibrant students of the college and for all those graduates who would be walking into the world with big dreams and ambitions.
