The versatile Rani, having played several demanding roles over the years, now takes on the challenging role of a sardar who, though from a small village, dreams big in this full-on musical romantic comedy based in Punjab.
Mike Stringer, who was responsible for all the disguises in Dhoom 2, was specially flown in from London to design the actress’ look for the film.
The costumes have been designed by Manish Malhotra.
The film, directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Aditya Chopra, stars Shahid Kapur, Rani Mukherji, Anupam Kher along with Rakhi Sawant and Sherlyn Chopra and others. It is slated to release worldwide on September 18.
