'Yuva Mangala' from August 1

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, he said the camp will be open for those below 35 years hailing from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu districts. The camp is being organised with an aim of ‘deshada jeevanadiyada halliyannu preethisi” (lets love villages, the lifeline of the country).

“As many as 200 youths are expected to take part in the programme. We will organise another programme in December to know what these youths have gained from the programme and how they have disseminated the information provided in the camp to the fellow members in rural areas.”

The camp will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Youth and Sports Prathik Patil. MP Oscar Fernandes will deliver a talk. MLA U T Khader will be the chief guest. The valedictory of the camp will be attended by Home Minister Dr V S Acharya. Vice-Chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa will preside. The resource persons for the camp include Nagathihalli Chandrashekar, Dr Krishnakothaya, Aravinda Chokkadi, Dinesh Ameen Mattu.
