The festival featured an array of events in dance, music, theatre, literature and fine art categories.

The festival was inaugurated by Prof Dodda Rangegowda, popular lyricist and B Suresh, national award-winning film-maker.

Dodda Rangegowda utilised the event to showcase his talent as a singer by crooning a folk song Sharanu Sharanenbe amidst a huge applause from the crowd.

B Suresh suggested students to follow Indian way of life and tradition instead of blindly following Western culture.

The students were all enthusiastic to take part in the festival. Even the folk dance competition saw a good number of teams and a fierce competition. Literary events, rangoli, ‘collage making’, ‘cartooning’, ‘painting competition’ also had many participants.

Along with enjoying the festival, students took the opportunity to learn many things related to culture and tradition and interacted with the guests to clear their doubts regarding their cultural identities.
