Advocates boycott proceedings

If the advocates boycotted the court proceedings, the BJP workers staged day and night protest, while Srirama Sena workers burnt the effigy of the central government as a part of the protest.

The advocates led by Bar Association office-bearers including Krishne Gowda and Mahesh Kumar, boycotted the court proceedings. They submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner on the occasion.

The BJP workers who formed Baba Ramadevji Horata Samiti started their day and night protest on Sunday night at 8 pm. Addressing the protestors, Kadur MLA Dr Y C Vishwanath flayed the police and the Central government for their inhuman attitude towards thousands of people who were staging protest in Ramalila Maidan of New Delhi.

Srirama Sena workers too staged a protest near Hanumanthappa Circle where they burnt the effigy of the Central government and opposed the government’s action.

Sene district President Annappa said that the forceful restraint of Baba’s protest recalled the emergency days when the government curbed the freedom of expression of the people. Strict legal action should be taken against those who possess property illegally. A limitation should be put on an individual for owning the property, urged the protestors.
