Rajan began as a stage actor and later switched over to films portraying mostly negative and humourous roles. His acting talent fetched him the best stage actor award twice. He immortalised the character ‘Kochu Vava’ in the hit play Kattukuthira. Some of his memorable film performances came in Thommanum Makkalum, Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava, Indrajaalam and Nadiya Kollappetta Ratri. His last film was Ee Pattanathil Bhootham.
