Sources in the Karnataka Examination Authority said the counselling for these courses will be conducted only after the counselling for engineering stream (between June 27 and July 28) and second round of counselling for medical courses (between August 17 and 25) are concluded.
The decision to defer the counselling was taken in view of the ongoing inspections by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM). The CCIM is looking into the discrepancies in several private Ayurvedic colleges affiliated to RGUHS. Sources said that with CCIM’s permission for these colleges to allow admissions still pending, conducting counselling for the three streams now would not be feasible.
