JOIN USThe country’s top corporate leader reportedly assured Gautam Doshi group MD and Hari Nair, senior Vice President of Reliance ADAG all legal help and support during their meeting at jail number three of the Asia’s biggest prison. Both the officials along with Surendra Pipara, group President of Reliance ADAG were arrested after a Special Court denied them bail on April 17.
All the three officials are facing charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery under the IPC and other offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
"Ambani was here at five in the evening. He had asked for permission to meet Gautam Doshi and Hari Nair, two of his company executives now lodged with us and we gave him a go ahead," Neeraj Kumar, DG Tihar Prisons, said.
"Ambani could not meet Pipara as he is now undergoing treatment at AIIMS," the official said. Pipara has been suffering from heart ailment.
