The concert had close to 36 popular songs from the albums of Rafi for a packed audience.

Young and enthusiastic singers Anil Bajpai and Hamid Khan infused life into the evergreen songs and treated the audience to a brilliant concert.

The concert was a medley of romantic, soft and patriotic songs and was presented very well.

The interactive audience made the show more lively through loud cheering, guessing the songs and crooning along with the singers.

Anil Bajpai began the show in his mellifluous voice which was appreciated for its tonal quality and range.

The first song of the evening was Ek Haseen Shyam Ko from the film Dulhan Ek
Raat Ki.

Anil sang this composition with refreshing vivacity and impressed the crowd by perfectly modulating his voice according to the lyrics.

Hamid Khan, a young classical singer, took the stage with the song, Badi Door Se Aaye Hain from the movie Samjhauta and kept the audience cheering for him all through the song.

He also churned out many other hits of Rafi like Bhari Duniya from Do Badan, Rukh Se Zara Naqab Utha Do from Mere Huzur and O Duniya Ke Rakhwale from the film Baiju Bawra.

“There is no comparison to Rafi’s songs. I don’t know how many times I have listened to some of his songs. Still I crave for more. I had attended this event last year too and I liked the event. So, this time, I came here with a lot of expectations. I could identify a lot of  improvisations in both Hamid and Anil this time,” said Praveen Rego, a member of the audience.

Anil Bajpai was his best throughout the show and performed some everlasting songs like Baharo Phool Barsao, Ye Duniya Ye Mehfil Mere Kaam Ki and Tere Zulfon Se.

Some lucky members of the audience won attractive gifts for getting the right answers in an open quiz about Rafi. Chandramouli, who was the first to buy tickets for the event and Ashok Sadhwani, who bought more than 25 tickets won surprising gifts during the show.
